DOD Must End Its Sponsorship of ASCA’s Radical Agenda

WASHINGTON – DOD Watch, an organization dedicated to exposing radical policies within the Department of Defense (DOD), issued the following statement calling on the department to end its sponsorship of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA):

"DOD Watch is calling on the Department of Defense to immediately pull its sponsorship of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and its upcoming annual conference. ASCA has become one of the most aggressive promoters of radical gender ideology, critical race theory, and divisive DEI practices in K-12 education. These are not neutral or harmless initiatives. They represent a clear and ongoing effort to indoctrinate America’s youth and undermine parental rights.

“It is deeply troubling that our armed forces, whose core mission is to protect and defend our nation, are aligning themselves with an organization that is openly hostile to the values that make our country strong. ASCA's agenda directly contradicts the principles of strength, unity, and excellence that our military should represent.

“This is a clear misuse of the DOD’s role and a stain on its reputation. Sponsorship of ASCA is not just inappropriate, but also a tacit endorsement of values that are anti-parent, anti-tradition, and anti-American.

“The Department of Defense must withdraw its sponsorship immediately and refocus on its true mission: safeguarding national security and promoting the enduring values of strength, discipline, and unity. The American people deserve a military that stands above political agendas, not one driven by them.”
